For the Launch of the HistoricPlacesLA.org website and the public launch of SurveyLA – the Los Angeles Historic Resources Inventory – we were asked to create a series of images of historic sites in all fifteen LA City Council Districts.
Working with the Getty Conservation Institute we documented historic sites like the theater district in Downtown LA.
The Century Plaza Hotel.
And the Neutra Colony in Silverlake.
This was a great project and a great honor to be chosen to work with the City of Los Angeles Office of Historic Resources and the Getty Conservation Institute to capture these resources. More information about the program is available online at www.HistoricPlacesLA.org and at the City of LA Office of Historic Resources website: www.surveyLA.org. The survey photography tutorial we produced for field surveyors is available as a PDF for download in two parts here: http://preservation.lacity.org/node/447
